	Mission Statement Unity -- the state or fact of being united or combined into one, as of the parts of a whole; unification. A group of Ladies formed together as one unit to support our Firefighters which are our family, and the community in which they serve. Hoping to grow with more like-minded ladies who share the same ideals as our unit has now. It is the goal of the Tar Heel Rural Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary to provide assistance to the THFD whenever possible. The Ladies Auxiliary conducts several fundraisers throughout the year to benefit the THFD, provides assistance at THFD events and provides support during calls that require the volunteers to be on a scene for extended periods of time.

	Aug 28 2010 - Pancake Breakfast
	--Tar Heel Fire Department's Aux. Unit is hosting a HUGE Community Bazaar / Pancake Plate Sale at the Fire Department on August 28th from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. 10 x 10 spots are still available for $10. Contact Teresa at 608-1058 or tdowless@ymail.com. Fresh Baked Homemade Cakes & Cookies, Crafts, Honey, Floral Arrangements, Books, Clothes, Shoes, Diaper Cakes, Purses, Toys, etc. Pancake Plate Sale @ 7 a.m. Hotdogs for Sale @ 11 a.m. RAIN or SHINE
